Privacy Policy for Perchie

Perchie is a macOS wellbeing companion built with a simple rule: everything stays on your Mac.
What Perchie can see
- How long you've been actively working, and how long you've been idle, used only to time check-ins, calculated on your device.
- Upcoming calendar events, but only if you grant calendar access. This is used to help you prepare for meetings and recover afterward.
- How you respond to check-ins (e.g., logging water, meals, breaks), used to learn your habits and time future reminders better.
- Your Personal Voice, but only if you grant access and choose to enable it, so Perchie can speak check-ins in your own voice.
What Perchie never accesses
- Your messages, documents, passwords, browser content, or screen contents.
- Your microphone. Perchie has no voice input or listening capability.
- Your location.
Where your data lives
Everything Perchie learns about you, habit logs, learned routines, preferences, is stored in local files on your Mac, inside your user Application Support folder. None of it is uploaded to a server, and Perchie has no user account or sign-in system. You can delete everything at any time from Settings → Privacy → Delete all memory.
Perchie's check-in messages are generated on-device using Apple Intelligence, with a local fallback and a small curated message library if on-device generation is unavailable. No message content is sent to any external AI service.
Purchases
If you unlock Perchie Pro, purchase processing is handled by Apple's App Store and RevenueCat, a subscription infrastructure provider. RevenueCat receives purchase/transaction data and an anonymous device identifier to validate your purchase and keep it working across reinstalls, it does not receive your habit data, calendar data, or anything else Perchie stores locally.
Children's privacy
Perchie is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will change accordingly.
